The Royal Oak in Dunsford offered a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The owners were incredibly kind, accommodating my request for an evening meal even on their day off, which made me feel special. The Budget Double Room was cozy and toasty, perfect after a day of exploring. I enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the property. both meals featured a substantial menu and were freshly cooked. The pub has a good selection of reasonably priced meals and beers. the bathroom could use improvement. it had small pockets of mold. The mattress wasn't very comfortable, which might be a concern for some. The location is stunning, right on the edge of Dartmoor Park, providing a peaceful escape. Despite a few minor issues, the welcoming vibe and lovely owners made my stay memorable.

A lovely countryside retreat with great hospitality
We had a delightful stay with our dog, enjoying a wonderful breakfast that truly exceeded our expectations. The owners were incredibly accommodating, even providing an evening meal on their day off, which added a personal touch to our visit. The twin room was comfortable, but a towel drying option would have made our stay even better.

The owners made our stay delightful! They even prepared us an evening meal on their day off and were flexible with breakfast times to accommodate our early appointment.
The bathroom was initially chilly, but once I discovered the heater, it was much cozier! A towel drying option would enhance comfort for longer stays.
